Hey gorgeous!
Thanks for checking out my YouTube video description. I offer tons of content here and you can find the exact products I used below!
First things first: a little backstory. Honey and I go waaaay back to 2011 when I first arrived here in the city. I immediately thought she was absolutely stunning and told myself that I HAD to do her makeup one day. Well, that day came a whole ten years later! You’ll see her getting glammed in this quick take demonstrating one of my favorite techniques.
SO LET’S JUMP RIGHT IN!
I start Honey off with a little PIXI BEAUTY Glow Tonic and a spritz of Dewy Skin Mist Min by TATCHA. If you have under-eye bags like literally all of us do, then the VICHY UnderEye Serum 89 I use in the video is a great technique to help cover those up! I seal in the moisture without making her look oily, of course, before heading into her eyebrows and cleaning them up.
To correct her under-eye area, I stayed true to myself and mixed a couple of shades of Makeup Forever correctors and concealers. Looking at our colour wheel, we want to oppose the slightly purple-coloured bags by creating a yellowish tone.
I LOVE Makeup Forever HD Foundation, so I blended a few shades and added a little bit of salmon highlighter pigment before applying it in order to make her skin look absolutely LIGHT & LUMINOUS!
If you take a look at my video, you’ll see me quickly highlighting key areas on her face before going in with my contour shades along her cheekbones. I then started setting her skin and applying a Crème blush palette by KRYOLAN to complete her look.
MOVING RIGHT ALONG TO THE BROWS!
With Brow Shaping Wax by Patrick Ta, I push it into her brow all while working it upward and sideways. It gives a really natural, messy but tamed look and I ABSOLUTELY adore it on her! I enhance her arch and deepen the natural beauty she already has with a little Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Powder and VOILÀ! Her skin is done.
Now, ladies, I love the Aqua Resist Smokey Eyeshadow Sticks by Makeup Forever that you see me use next in my video. Waterproof, easy to blend, and once they’re set, they’re going absolutely nowhere – trust me! I apply the eyeshadow as a base on the inner and outer corners of her eyes before completing it with ViseArt Editorial Brights. Watch me use one of my favorite techniques ever while I blend pure white and ILLAMASQUA – Lavender pigments. I also add a little liner to her top and bottom lashes before blending all the colours from her top lid in her under-eye area, creating a REALLY dramatic effect.
I’ve been working on using and integrating this technique in my art more because although I’ve shied away from using it in the past, I truly love the result.
Honey’s cool-toned smokey-eye with water-resistant makeup was completed with a full and luscious heart-shaped lip and a final touch of highlighter. And there you have it! BAM! Look at that gorgeous model ready for her next shoot!
I hope you enjoyed this quick tutorial as much as I enjoyed creating it. We really had so much fun together and I appreciated every minute of getting to glam her up.
