I’m in L.A trying to rest and network at the same time… I\u2019m not quite balancing both so well because: confession: I\u2019m kind of a covert workaholic<\/a>!<\/span><\/p>\n

Taking this step back allows me to see that I may be wonderful, but I am no Wonder Woman.<\/span><\/p>\n

I have skills that have taken me far in my life and will continue to make me thrive in my own way.<\/span><\/p>\n

I know it, I realize it, and I hear it when literally all of you talk to me about it.<\/span><\/p>\n

I have an amazing support system, but time is allowing me to see the importance of surrounding myself in my projects.<\/span><\/p>\n

I have dreams that scare me because they resonate so deeply within me, a fierce desire to create, to share, to create pretty, shiny things…<\/span><\/p>\n

But without allowing space for community and the support that comes with it, I only lead myself to exhaustion.<\/span><\/p>\n

I want so badly to create videos, inform and democratize the world of cosmetics.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

I want so badly to share, include, and highlight beauties from minority backgrounds, those whom we ignore, those we choose not to see.<\/span><\/p>\n

Like all entrepreneurs, I\u2019ve sometimes also missed sleep to be able to push this brand where I felt it needed to go. This has in turn cost me the distance to make the best decisions as well.<\/span><\/p>\n

For a few days now, I’ve been giving myself true, deep, uninterrupted rest but I am struggling to really let go of my tasks.<\/span><\/p>\n

My business has become a machine that I felt ran automatically\u2026boy was I wrong. I do everything, all the time, practically around the clock.<\/span><\/p>\n

It’s for you, but it’s also for me… if I don’t do it, nothing moves forward (at least that’s my perspective).<\/span><\/p>\n

Each day this week has brought a new way of thinking, a new system, and although I feel guilty, I know that I still have a lot to delegate to work better.<\/span><\/p>\n

Fortunately, I have a constellation of wonderful friends who listen to me, support me, and encourage me. They are the stars on my path that I love so much.<\/span><\/p>\n

The sun is setting in Los Angeles, P\u00e0P\u00e0 the kitten where I am staying is making himself heard, he wants to play, and so do I, actually.<\/span><\/p>\n

I’m 30 years old, it’s extraordinary, I decided it’s time. No more negotiations, balance and self-respect or nothing!<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
